2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & Billing Information

• Name, email address, and password when you register an account.
• Billing information (credit/debit card details, billing address) collected and processed by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

2.2 Usage & Platform Data

• AI credit consumption records: timestamp, feature used, credits deducted.
• Chatbot interaction logs: message metadata, conversation IDs, response outcomes. These logs are retained for service provision, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention.
• Content you upload or provide (persona details, images, videos) processed solely to deliver the Service.
• Platform analytics: pages visited, features accessed, session duration, device/browser type, IP address.

2.3 Communications

• Emails or messages you send to our support team.
• Records of any coaching or onboarding sessions you attend.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Service delivery — to provide, operate, and maintain the Augustus platform.
• Billing & payments — to process subscription charges and manage renewals.
• Usage tracking — to accurately record AI credit consumption and chatbot usage for billing integrity and dispute resolution.
• Fraud prevention & legal compliance — to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions, chargebacks, and abuse, including submission of usage logs in financial dispute proceedings.
• Customer support — to respond to inquiries and resolve issues.
• Product improvement — to analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns. We do not use your specific content to train AI models.
• Legal obligations — to comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requirements.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
• AI model providers — your content inputs are processed by third-party AI APIs (e.g., image/video generation services) solely to generate your requested outputs. We select providers who maintain appropriate data protections.
• Infrastructure providers — cloud hosting, database, and CDN services under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal & regulatory authorities — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect Company's legal rights, including in chargeback and fraud disputes.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Social Platform Integrations

Augustus integrates with third-party social media platforms to enable content publishing and account management. The following describes how we collect and use data obtained through these integrations.

5.1 Meta (Instagram & Facebook)

When you connect an Instagram or Facebook account to Augustus, we use the Meta Graph API to enable the following functionality:

• Publishing Reels, images, and videos to your connected Instagram account via the Instagram Content Publishing API.
• Reading basic profile information (account name, profile picture, account ID) to display within the Augustus dashboard.
• Accessing media insights and publishing status on your behalf.

Data we collect via Meta APIs:

• OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens required to act on your behalf. These are encrypted at rest and never shared with third parties.
• Instagram account identifiers and user IDs necessary for API calls.
• Publishing status and media IDs returned by the API after content is posted.

How we use Meta data: Solely to provide the content publishing features you have enabled. We do not sell or share your Meta-derived data with any party other than Meta itself (as required by the API). We do not use this data to target advertising.

Meta's policies: Your use of connected Meta accounts is also subject to Meta's Terms of Service and Meta's Privacy Policy. We comply with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

Revoking access: You can disconnect your Instagram or Facebook account at any time from your Augustus account settings. You may also revoke Augustus app permissions directly via your Facebook App Settings. Upon revocation, we will cease all API calls on your behalf and will delete your access tokens within 30 days.

5.2 TikTok

When you connect a TikTok account to Augustus, we use the TikTok Content Posting API to enable the following functionality:

• Uploading and publishing videos to your connected TikTok account.
• Reading basic profile information (display name, account ID) to display within the Augustus dashboard.
• Accessing post status to confirm successful publication.

Data we collect via TikTok APIs:

• OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens required to act on your behalf. These are encrypted at rest and never shared with third parties.
• TikTok account identifiers (open_id, union_id) necessary for API calls.
• Publishing status and video IDs returned by the API after content is posted.
• Basic account information: display name, avatar URL, account status.

How we use TikTok data: Solely to provide the content publishing features you have enabled. We do not sell or share your TikTok-derived data with third parties. We do not use this data to target advertising or build profiles beyond service delivery.

TikTok's policies: Your use of connected TikTok accounts is also subject to TikTok's Terms of Service and TikTok's Privacy Policy. We comply with TikTok's Developer Terms and Platform Guidelines.

Revoking access: You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time from your Augustus account settings. You may also revoke Augustus app permissions via your TikTok account settings under "Connected Apps." Upon revocation, we will cease all API calls on your behalf and will delete your access tokens within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription and for a period of 5 years after account closure to comply with financial recordkeeping obligations and to defend against potential legal claims. Usage logs (credit consumption, chatbot interactions) are retained for a minimum of 3 years. Social platform access tokens (Meta, TikTok) are deleted within 30 days of account disconnection or account closure. You may request deletion of your personal data subject to the exceptions below.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hi@runaugustus.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that we may be legally required to retain certain data (e.g., transaction records) even after a deletion request. 8. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies required for the Service to function (e.g., authentication sessions) and analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect Service functionality.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. Social platform OAuth tokens are stored encrypted. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We take reasonable steps to ensure adequate data protection in all jurisdictions where your data is processed.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice on the Site at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
